Lindsay's entry:
Oh dear, after only a month we have had our first
casualty. You would think after
ten years of living with rats we'd know better, but sadly not. Derek was
backing up his computer onto his data stick and one of the little horrors found
the cap which was sitting enticingly on Derek's desk. He had been warned
about the perils of leaving tempting plastic items around for the ratties to find,
but sort of forgot the advice until it was to late and he couldn't find the said
item. I think it is fair to say it will never be the same again.
Caramel's entry:
Mum
says I am the bravest rattie ever. I came creeping slowly out of our cage
as you can never be too sure what is waiting out there. I made my way
through the blue transport tube, which always makes me feel safe on my journey
from our cage. When I came out to my horror there was an enormous dinosaur
waiting to eat me for it's dinner. Mum is always telling me to be brave
and so I thought it was about time I proved to her just what a courageous little
rat I am. I knew that softie Toffee wouldn't stand a chance so with all my
might and without thinking I fought the big scary dinosaur and won.
He nearly got me and I don't like to think about it too much but I saw him off.
The big green thing thought he could stop me from coming out of my
tube and playing with my dad's stuff. I showed him - Caramel the brave!
Toffee's entry:
I don't know what all the fuss is about. Dad was a bit upset
because something
important of his went missing and when it was found it looked kind of different.
I don't know what made everyone think it had
something to do with me. I know I am very keen and like to explore new
things and there was that incident with the phone. I was only trying to be
helpful, how was I supposed to know it needed all those buttons and they looked
like they would taste so good. And I never actually did any damage, mum
took it off me before I could get a taste. That's why I like dad's desk
the best, because he doesn't keep and eye on me like mum does and he forgets to
put things away. Yeah dad's desk is definitely the best place to hang out.
